About Bearded Nerd

Hi, I'm the Bearded Nerd — a one-person IT services company based in Kelso, in the heart of the Scottish Borders. I build websites for local businesses, set up business automation to save you time, and fix, upgrade, and build PCs.

The name? Well, the beard is real and the nerd part is definitely accurate. But behind the name is a genuine passion for helping people get the most out of technology — without the headaches. When you work with me, you deal with me directly. No call centres, no being passed around, no waiting days for a reply.

How I work

These aren't just nice words on a page — they're promises I make to every client.

Plain English, always

Tech doesn't have to be confusing. I explain everything in language that makes sense — no jargon, no acronyms, no nonsense.

Honest and upfront

I'll tell you what you actually need, not what makes me the most money. If a simple solution works, that's what I'll recommend.

Local and personal

I'm not a faceless agency. I'm your neighbour in Kelso who happens to be really good with computers.

What I do

Three core services, each tailored to the needs of folk in the Scottish Borders.

Websites

Modern, fast websites that help local businesses get found online and turn visitors into customers.

Business Automation

Save hours every week by automating the repetitive tasks that slow your business down.

PC Services

Repairs, upgrades, and custom builds — from slow laptops to brand new gaming rigs.
